After a 38-0 loss to Brea Olinda in the second week of the season, Woodbridge football coach Rick Gibson didn't panic.
All he did was to try and regroup his squad for another tough game.
Kyle Kelley had four sacks to lead Woodbridge in an upset over Garden Grove Friday night.
The Warriors responded with a 21-10 upset of Garden Grove, the defending Southern Division champion and at the time, the top-ranked team in the division last week.
"The win was important as we try to improve weekly and this helps reiterate that fact," Gibson said.
The defensive standouts were Kyle Kelley, who had four sacks and caused a fumble, Phillip Hong, David McCutchan and Nick Greenberg.
"Our offensive line of David Patterson, Zack Rusick, Mubashir Syed, Alex Hernandez and Jae Enyart controlled the line of scrimmage," Gibson said. "Derek Calderon ran hard and the quarterbacks managed the game well."
